Meet your Psoas, Yoga Therapy Workshop

October 5, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$30

Presented by Atma Daya Yoga with Parameshwari

Do you experience any of the following?

  • Sudden sharp pain in the hip or pelvis after trauma to the area,
  • a cramping or clenching sensation in the muscles of the upper leg area,
  • the upper leg feeling tender and sore,
  • loss of strength in the front of the groin along with a tugging sensation,
  • muscle spasms in the hip or thighs.

The psoas affects our posture and helps stabilize the spine. If it is out of balance, it can be a significant contributor to low back pain and pelvic pain.

Come and meet your psoas and learn how you can relieve your pain with a few simple exercises!

In this workshop we will start with some basic anatomy to introduce you to where the psoas is and how it functions. We will then do gentle stretching and asana (exercises) to open, lengthen, and strengthen this important body stabilizer.

All levels are welcome!
